Fold&Hold,
pencil packaging
Fold & Hold is a colored pencils packaging
that criticizes environmental issues by challenging users creativity. What is expected
from the user is not only to express his
creativity on the paper but also with the paper.
It is produced by bending a single mantle of
paper, without any glueing. After opening the packaging, it revears an origamy based folding grid that allows folding the paper in various shapes, such as pencil stands and boxes.
Further use of packaging as pencil stand allows the product to continue living and not
becoming a waste immediately. In this way it
prevents unnecessary waste generation and
maximizes the use of resources.
The main idea is to show the user that the
single paper can be more than expected, to
stimulate his imagination and encourage
him to play with it. Options are of course much larger than the existing suggestions, they are there to encourage users to creative thinking.
