Anteater,
handheld vacuum cleaner
Handheld vacuum cleaner shouldn't have the characteristics of large cleaners, but try to be the best at what large ones can’t (be light, small, quiet, simple, fast, wireless...).
Due to the rapid nature of the product I decided that all operations that could result in loss of time or patience should be simplified. This resulted in rotating handles to facilitate some actions, tank separation by small twist, dumping the content without removing the filter, separation from the charger on the principle of magnet, removing unnecessary buttons, applying a simple sliding on-off switch.
Tank rotates and can be fixed for a particular position on a ‘click’ system. If rotated as shown can be easily detached and emptied.
Rotated handle facilitates the operations where the wrist is bent in an uncomfortable position such as cleaning upper surfaces.
The major components (motor and battery) are located as close to the handle, in order to reduce the weight of the vacuum cleaner and enhance the precision of vacuuming.
